We were nominated for an award! I (Clint) participate in the tradition by giving a few little personal tidbits about yours truly. You can read this article on the new website by clicking here.
way to go CLint, that is so exciting, You keep yourself very removed (for obvious reasons I know) so it was lovely to hear those things about yourself. Guitar eh? My HOH's career, nice to make a link there.
Clint- thanks for sharing, it was nice to learn more about you. My 11 year old son has been playing guitar since he was eight and is pretty amazing. No, i'm not being biased either (he has played at many big events and others have told me, too. ;) anyway, now I just love to hear the guitar. It's really fun when he picks up another old rock song or something we don't think he knows... the other day he was playing the begining to the Beach Boys- "Wipe Out" and then he will start on "Sweet Home Alabama" then maybe Greenday... can't think of the song. But that isn't even mentioning all of the Church worship songs he does all the time.
OK Rambling here...
Just interesting to here about your love of guitar and such. Thanks for sharing.
Hi Clint - Congrats on receiving the award - lovely or handsome - whatever you want to name it, you definitely deserve this award.
Agree with Cowgirl Up - Rock and Roll - let's go!
@Cowgirl Up - Definitely love classic rock and Allen Collins but can't say he was the best - too many great ones out there such as Santana, Joe Satriani, Steve Vai - just to name a few.
Thanks Clint for all your hard work on this blog and all the thought and care you put in to you posts and your answers to all the comments.
Since I'm new around here, I am understandably curious about LDD's founders, so your descriptions were interesting for me. Please accept my sincere congratulations for your "lovely" award. You deserve it.
@SpankedWifeUK - Thank you, C. Playing the guitar is wonderful. I try to encourage everyone to play some kind of instrument at some point in their lives. It's helpful in a lot of ways. I'm glad we could make that link as well.
Take care, C.
@lovehonorandobeyhim - Thank you!
@Pooky - It sounds like your son has a natural talent! That's great! I certainly love to play guitar, although it has been a little harder to do with the little one running around. He tends to want to grab things and smash them. Lol.
I'm glad you enjoyed the post.
@Cowgirl Up - Rock and Roll is where it's at! Given your name, I would have guessed you to be a Country music fan. I suppose that's what I get for jumping to conclusions! :)
@Cat - Thank you so much. It's definitely an honor. You have great taste in music, too. Joe Satriani is unbelievable.
@Patricia Green - Thank you so much. I'm glad you enjoyed the post. I appreciate your kind words.
All the best for continued success of the LDD network and blog. I also enjoyed the 7 facts about you! Thanks for all you do to provide a thoughtful and helpful information on DD. The nomination was given in high esteem. Regards,
@Cat- There are plenty of talented guitarists, that's for sure. Clapton and Stevie Ray Vaughan to name a few more....Still, I'm sticking with Allen Collins as top dog.I may be a little biased though, I'm a HUGE Skynyrd fan! :)
@Clint-Oh,I am a country music fan, you guessed right, but rock is my first (and favorite) love. :)
@Cowgirl Up - We could hijack Clint's blog and just go one forever naming our favorite outstanding guitarists as we've both just named a few great ones. So we'd better stop now. ;) Here's a link you might enjoy: http://www.digitaldreamdoor.com/pages/best_guitar-all.html
You could always change the name of the blog to Lovely Domestic Discipline in honor of the award... Wait, you don't have my address do you? I'm moving. (Sneakin' out the back door!)
@Clint- Thanks for the welcome to blogland, I couldn't resist trying to have a little fun. It will probably be short lived. I'll leave the real blogs to real (and lovely :)), bloggers such as yourself.
My name is Clint, and welcome to Learning Domestic Discipline.
This blog started after I began practicing Domestic Discipline in my own marriage and realized there were very few reliable, clean, and to the point resources out there available for those who are new to Domestic Discipline, want to know more about it, or simply need help.
I don't know everything about Domestic Discipline, nor do I claim to. What I do know, however, is that Domestic Discipline has done wonders for my wife and I's marriage, and I feel it will for everyone if it is done correctly.
The entries and information on this blog are meant to be a template that you can use to incorporate into your marriage. My hope is that you will use the suggestions and guidelines recommended and mold them into a design that works for your relationship. I also hope for Learning Domestic Discipline to continue to become a place where people can go to get support and advice, encouragement, or simply learn more about this marital tool.
Please note that all the entries on this blog, as well as the name Learning Domestic Discipline, are copyrighted and all copyright laws apply. Also, please note that by choosing to implement any of the suggestions on this blog you acknowledge that you are over the age of 18 and you are choosing to do so at your own risk. -Rock and Roll. Now you're talking! I love, love, love classic rock. Allen Collins was the best guitarist who ever lived in my opinion.
