Weekly Recap: June 24th - 30th

weeklyrecap630

Another week is in the books!  In fact, another month is in the books.  Learning Domestic Discipline closed out the final week of June with a brand new downloadable packet.  Did you get your copy?  If you missed anything over the past seven days, we'll get you all up to speed.

WeeklyRecapPostList

Learning Domestic Discipline Does Not Equal Christian Domestic Discipline - The title of this post says it all.  We attempt to clarify the difference between our website and the Christian Domestic Discipline websites out there in cyber land.

Presenting the Downloadable HoH Packet! - The latest free LDD download is for the all the HoHs out there.  It includes information on lecturing, punishments, reinforcement, and a whole lot more!  It's 50+ pages of information written specifically for the head of the household in your relationship/marriage.  Download your free copy today!  (Or, you know, whenever it's convenient for you.)

Five Things Friday: Holiday Weekend Edition - We prepare for a personal vacation, and domestic discipline bloggers all around the world rally behind a very special 6-year old little girl.  She's in our thoughts and prayers, and in our hearts.

WeeklyRecapPost2
  • The LDD Retreat date voting is on hold until things calm down from the "Rita Skeeter" incident.  Perhaps we should add "Rita Skeeter" to the LDD Glossary?
  • The July LDD Newsletter will be sent out on July 5th, 2013.  You can join the free mailing list right here. (Email is not used for any other purpose.)
Onward we go into July!  We hope everyone has a wonderful upcoming week!

Weekly Recap: June 17th - 23rd

weeklyrecap623

Hello Learning Domestic Discipline readers!  How was your week?  Oh, ours was...interesting.  Thanks for asking.  We changed things up a bit on the posting schedule.  Rather than post a Saturday Stories article from a fellow DD'er this week, we wrote a couple of personal domestic discipline stories ourselves, one of which was posted on Thursday.  If you missed anything, which would have been p r e t t y tough to do this week, we'll get you all up to speed.

WeeklyRecapPostList

Mailbag Monday: Week 11 - Chelsea sat this round of questions out, so I (Clint) answered questions about practicing domestic discipline when apart from your partner for months, whether or not the submissive partner should still be punished if the HoH "started it", and how my wife and I keep things "fresh" in our domestic discipline marriage in this week's Mailbag Monday post.

"Domestic Discipline is Abuse" - In the first of two personal stories from the heart, I (Clint) talk about how I reacted when I first heard about the domestic discipline lifestyle.  How similar is it to your initial reaction?

"Domestic Discipline is Abuse?" Part 2: Chelsea's Story - In a second personal story from the heart, Chelsea opens up about the things in her life that truly define her as a person, and she elaborates on how the domestic dynamic really works for anyone who may be visiting LDD for the first time.

We hope you all have a wonderful upcoming week!  We thank everyone for their continued readership and support.  Until next time.

Weekly Recap: June 10th - 16th

weeklyrecap616

We had a great week here at Learning Domestic Discipline!  We were asked another tough set of questions (AGAIN) in this week's Mailbag Monday post, and we're also offering yet another free download for readers/listeners to enjoy!  If you missed anything this week, we'll get you all caught up with the latest LDD happenings.

WeeklyRecapPostList

Mailbag Monday: Week 10 - We offer our advice on how to take the next step when it comes to spanking implements, how to handle a difference of opinion when it comes to punishing children in a unique family dynamic, and what one CD we would replace in our collections if all of our music was stolen in this week's round of Mailbag Monday questions.

The Lecturing Podcast - In our second LDD podcast, we cover a very important domestic discipline component -- lecturing.  This podcast even includes a real lecturing example by us (Clint and Chelsea) within it.  You can read more about the new podcast, and download it for free, by clicking the link to the post (above).

Five Things Friday: The Punishment Edition - Chelsea talks about her unfortunate punishment-filled week, a fellow DD blogger talks about "Stress Relief Spankings", and an all-too-real singles dating site that you never knew existed in this week's Five Things.  Oh, just WAIT until you see this one.

WeeklyRecapPost2
  • We've received a number of requests for the new LDD eBooks.  We're working to make them available on sites such as Lulu, Amazon, etc.  as soon as we possibly can.  We'll also make them available on the LDD website in the very near future.  Once they're available, we'll announce it here on the blog and the LDD Twitter page.  We thank you in advance for your interest in the eBooks, and for your patience.
  • The polls to begin voting for the LDD Retreat dates will be posted next week.  If you missed the announcement, the LDD Retreat location will be Galtinburg/Pigeon Forge, TN.
  • We're working very hard to get the two latest LDD projects launched as soon as possible -- the DD Wives Club and the Download Site are both in the works.  It shouldn't be too much longer before they're launched!
We wish all the great dads out there a very happy Father's Day!  We hope you enjoy your day with your loved ones.  :)  Thank you all for your readership and support this week!  Onward we go to next week....see you then!

Weekly Recap: June 3rd - 9th

weeklyrecap68

We slowed things down a bit the past few days as we celebrated our wedding anniversary week.  Thanks to all who wished us a happy anniversary!  We had a wonderful week as a family, and we're ready to get back on track with Learning Domestic Discipline.  Despite us taking the week "off", we kept our posting schedule on track with three new posts.  Take a look...

WeeklyRecapPostList

Mailbag Monday: Week 9 - It was a mixed bag of interesting questions this week.  We answered questions about why spanking is an important component to the domestic discipline lifestyle, what planet we'd choose to live on if Earth became too crowded, and we obliged to a very kind request from a fellow blogger.

Our Anniversary Week! - We took this week "off" from LDD to celebrate our wedding anniversary! :)

Saturday Stories: "Journey to My Contented Home!" - The first article from a fellow blogger in blogland was featured in this week's edition of Saturday Stories.  Kat, from the blog "My Contented Home", shares how making the domestic discipline aspect of her marriage more intense and structured substantially improved things for her and her husband.

WeeklyRecapPost2
  • We announced in the June LDD Newsletter that our free download series will be getting its own site!  Look for that to launch later this month.
We're looking forward to next week and we hope you are as well!

Weekly Recap: May 27th - June 2nd

weeklyrecap62

Another week (and month) is in the books.  It went by fast, didn't it?  We kicked off the last week of May with a special Memorial Day post and wrapped things up by closing two big things at Learning Domestic Discipline - the Spring Promos and the LDD Retreat location voting.  Keep reading for the LDD Retreat location announcement...

WeeklyRecapPostList

Happy Memorial Day! - We honor the service men and women who protect our rights and freedom in this country with a heartfelt tribute to the United States military.  It's important that we all recognize their sacrifices not only on the annual United States Memorial Day holiday, but every day.

Preventing and Handling Bruises/Marks From a Spanking - This post explores ways to prevent marking/bruising when conducting a spanking and offers ways to handle the situation if there happen to be any marks or bruises left on the submissive partner after a spanking.

Five Things: June Kickoff Edition - Chelsea answers 40 questions, we announce the next LDD project, and there's a new television show that we think has a domestic discipline couple featured on it.  What do you think?  We'd love to hear if you think so too!

WeeklyRecapPost2
  • After nearly 60,000 votes, the LDD Retreat location will be...

Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge, Tennessee!!

Las Vegas and Tennessee were battling it out for weeks, but in the end it was Tennessee that received the most votes.  Thanks to all who voted!  We will now move on to voting for the dates of the LDD Retreat.  Keep an eye out for the retreat dates voting poll later this month.

  • There's still time to subscribe to the monthly LDD Newsletter before the June newsletter is sent out.  This month's newsletter will be sent out on June 7th, and you can subscribe to the mailing list right here.  It's free to do so, and your email address will only be used for mailing of the newsletter.  No other emails will be sent to you.
  • We wrapped up the Spring Promos on June 1st.  Thank you to all who placed orders!  If you missed them, don't worry - the next round of promotions will be sometime this upcoming fall.
Thank you for your readership and support this week!  We'll see you next week!
