Weekly Recap: June 17th - 23rd

Hello Learning Domestic Discipline readers!  How was your week?  Oh, ours was...interesting.  Thanks for asking.  We changed things up a bit on the posting schedule.  Rather than post a Saturday Stories article from a fellow DD'er this week, we wrote a couple of personal domestic discipline stories ourselves, one of which was posted on Thursday.  If you missed anything, which would have been p r e t t y tough to do this week, we'll get you all up to speed.

Mailbag Monday: Week 11 - Chelsea sat this round of questions out, so I (Clint) answered questions about practicing domestic discipline when apart from your partner for months, whether or not the submissive partner should still be punished if the HoH "started it", and how my wife and I keep things "fresh" in our domestic discipline marriage in this week's Mailbag Monday post.

"Domestic Discipline is Abuse" - In the first of two personal stories from the heart, I (Clint) talk about how I reacted when I first heard about the domestic discipline lifestyle.  How similar is it to your initial reaction?

"Domestic Discipline is Abuse?" Part 2: Chelsea's Story - In a second personal story from the heart, Chelsea opens up about the things in her life that truly define her as a person, and she elaborates on how the domestic dynamic really works for anyone who may be visiting LDD for the first time.

  • The July LDD Newsletter will be sent out on Friday July 5th, 2013.  You can join the free mailing list by clicking here. (Your email address is not used for any other purpose)
  • Barring anything unforeseen, we'll be addressing recent media articles by Wednesday.
We hope you all have a wonderful upcoming week!  We thank everyone for their continued readership and support.  Until next time.

You guy have GOT to sue this person!!! They are telling completely lies about you everyone on the blogs! It really got me angry and giving awesome people like you a bad rep. Especially when they started talking about Stormy's kids! Someone should do SOMETHING. I'm not anyone special, I just have really enjoyed all of the information and stories that are shared here on the blogs and to see someone completely lie about it and disrespect it and the DD lifestyle go me riled up.

@Kim B - Thank you! The Daily Mail article is one of the better written articles currently circulating in the media. At least both sides are presented within it.

Thanks for sharing the link. All the best to you.

@Anonymous (June 24th 8:55 AM)- It is our feeling that the reporter was interested in making everyone angry with her article, not just any one group of people. That's the United States media, unfortunately. It has become more about shares, clicks, views, etc. than research and honorable journalism. It happens.

Thank you for your kind words and support as well. The others included in this article are wonderful people, and it's a shame they were not given the opportunity to show that.

Thank you for sharing the link to the article. We appreciate you taking the time to comment. All the best to you and yours.

@Anonymous (June 24th 8:02 PM) - You'll get no argument from us on that one. Thank you for sharing your thoughts.

All the best to you and yours.

Clint and Chelsea... We need more people like the two of you and this world would be a happy place I love reading your blog/website. I don't understand the closemindedness and prejudice from others. Honestly It has never crossed my mind "omg a husband spanks his wife" I'm actually thinking "wow a husband and a wife who truly love, appreciate , want the best for,and will do anything for their marriage and family" thank you both and your blogging community for helping each other and so many others around the world. Thank you for sharing your "recipe for a good marriage" ~Deana

@Deana - Wow, thank you very much for your extremely kind words. It's one of the nicest comments we've gotten. We appreciate it so much.

Domestic discipline sparks strong opinions of people, which is expected, but those that disagree with the lifestyle could certainly express their opinions in a much more constructive way in most cases. That's just the nature of the beast, I suppose.

Thank you, once again, for your very nice comment. It means a lot to us. We wish you and yours the very best in all that you do.
