Welcome to October, and welcome to another Learning Domestic Discipline Couples Challenge! We've made rules, we've focused on the great qualities in both ourselves and our spouses, and we've made plans to improve certain aspects of our marriages with these challenges. We've even thrown in a confession or two, which isn't easy to do. It's time to throw a little fun into the mix.
OCTOBER COUPLES CHALLENGE
Spontaneously get your spouse a gift to show them how much you love and appreciate them. Even a small gift can make your spouse extremely happy, and when gifts come as a surprise, they mean so much more. Whether it's a bouquet of flowers, a box of chocolates, movie/show/game tickets, or that power tool your husband has always wanted, a random gift from the heart will remind you both how much you love one another.

- A few months ago, I got my wife a gift certificate to the spa. I admit it was partially due to her terrific behavior over a period of time, but it was the randomness of the gift that meant the most to her. That little gift certificate made her SO happy. Not only did it make her happy in the moment I gave it to her, but it made her happy when she was able to go to the spa and get a massage without a worry in the world. She deserved it, and the gift caught her completely off guard, which is what made it so meaningful.
A word of caution - don't spend too much and get your spouse upset about the money spent. That's not how this challenge is intended to work. Even a homemade card made of paper and crayons can mean the world to your spouse. This spontaneous gift can be anything, and sometimes gifts that cost the least mean the most.

You went to a site called the Snoring Center to get the picture? That's quite funny!
But, this is what they have to say on this topic. "Treating your snoring is giving the gift of better sleep. And that’s a GREAT gift. When you allow your bed partner to get better sleep, what you are giving is more energy, a better outlook, a way to lose weight and become more fit, and a boost to your relationship."
What a lovely idea for a gift! No more snoring!! Oh...Jim...I have a present for you...
@Christina - Leave it to you to focus on that part of the entry. The smallest written part on the whole thing. Thanks, Christina. :)
