Thank you again for your insight. For us newbies any information is helpful. I am very greatful to you and your wife for not only this marriage series, but also for the new forums. It has been nice to be able to "meet" like-minded people and make some new friends.

Great post Clint - I think sometimes we all get so caught up in our daily lives that we take one another for granted. A simple gesture of affection really does a lot to make your partner feel wanted.

One thing my fiance and I used to do was send each other cards. Sometimes they were e-cards and sometimes they were actual cards (not the big expensive ones - nothing elaborate). The card might just say "I'm so happy you're mine", "I love you", or "Just because..." I loved getting those cards and seeing the look on his face when he got one was such a gift - it was like 'ah, I'm appreciated, loved, wanted, respected, whatever the particular message was.' Just leaving a note somewhere you know they will find it will do the same thing.

This post is very timely - especially as we're coming in to the busy, stressful holiday season.

Blessings,
Cat

LIEBSTER BLOG AWARD (sorry, the picture I'd love to post won't copy over here)

I have nominated you for a Liebster Blog Award. I was recently nominated by one of my readers, and now get to pass this on to my favorite bloggers. From what I’ve researched, this award is to be given to blogs with fewer than 200 followers (and I'm not sure if you "qualify!"). There are a variety of responses expected as a result of receiving this award: 11 random facts about you, answer the 11 questions posed, and nominate 11 other bloggers (other than the one who nominated you). While I felt "honored" for the award, it also is a bit of a burden to fulfill its "requirements!" See my site for more: http://desiringdiscipline.wordpress.com/2012/11/17/an-award/

When I first began to research DD/TIH/TTWD etc... yours was one of the blogs I came upon that seemed sane and helpful. Your blog has been a good "go-to" to answer my many questions, and I've recently directed my husband to your site (his comment: "that Clint guy sure does write a lot! How does he have the time?"). I appreciate that you are willing to "put it out there" for us neophytes. Thanks for your honest, frank, instructive and humorous writings. I've benefited and enjoyed!!
